Spoon Sports X Bowls

On Sunday 10.29 Spoon Sports held a merch drop and unveiling of their new FL5 race car ahead of SEMA and the 25 Hours of Thunderhill endurance race. The event was fairly chill but had a solid turnout of people wanted to catch a glimpse of the Spoon outfitted FL5 and snag some merch.

This was actually the second event of the weekend at Bowls. They hosted Max and Maya Orido along with Dai Yoshihara for the launch of their merch collaboration with Advan. Unfortunately for me I only packed a film camera for that event and for some reason it decided to shred the roll of film through the sprockets so I’ll be lucky if there’s any useable images on the roll. Big bummer but 18 year old me wouldn’t believe that I had a chance to meet (and even chat a little bit in Japanese) with Max Orido. I had to snag a nobori for the collection that Max and Maya were nice enough to autograph.

I hate driving this thing to LA but my IS300 is once again broken. Sucks but oh well. Luckily I didn’t find anybody trying to sleep in my tent or stealing any of my shit.
