Feature: Tyler’s Cressida
Builds take time and are more often than not, a labor of love. That’s absolutely the case with friend of the blog, Tyler’s Cressida. It was actually his very first car, acquired through a family friend for a mere $300 at the age of 15. Eventually he would go on to sell the car and always had a longing for it. Years later he was able to reacquire it and has been in the process of refreshing/restoring his long lost MX32 Cressida. I had a chance to visit him at home while he was working on it and blasted out a quick roll of Portra 400 with him. Some time later the car was back up and running and we snapped a few more photos, again on Portra 400 and the combination is what you see here. The car has its blemishes(read: character) and is a little rough around the edges, but so is film and I feel like the two go well together. I’m sure this Cressida will only be improved upon from here on out. Assuming he keeps it, that is.
