Formula Drift: Irwindale

Irwindale is one of my favorite rounds of FD. It has become such a historic place for drifting in America and to me, is somewhat synonymous with US drifting. The only track that I feel really rivals it is Atlanta, which I unfortunately have never been to (someone need media coverage for ‘24???).

This year’s round sound was an emotional rollercoaster. From the nail biter end of season points race to James Deane and Matt Field’s insane crash in practice, there were a lot wild moments all weekend. Nick Noback put on a truly impressive display and took home the win for the round. Huge congratulations to Chelsea Denofa for taking the big prize. I will certainly miss him as a contender but I’m already looking forward to seeing what the 2024 season has in store.
