Doghouse / FTF4Ever End Of Summer

I spent the weekend prepping a new front lip for my car for paint since my girlfriend was out of town for work. After a full Saturday of scotch bright, acetone, and sandpaper I opted to take a break and enjoy a lazy Sunday. It started with a morning visit to the Doghouse Garage / FTF4Ever end of summer open house. It was relatively close to home and I’m always down for nice Hondas so it was a no brainer.

The neighborhood and the shop space were packed with people and a selection of really clean cars. Their shop is very nice with a solid emphasis on cleanliness and aesthetics. All of their new merch was very nice as well. This champ white DC5 was absolutely one of my favorites of the event. I’ve probably mentioned it but I had a Jade Green DC5 when I first moved to LA which got stolen and 10 years later, I’m still salty about it.

Mike Power’s Formula Drift S15 was tucked into the corner of the shop. I found it interesting that in most places a car like this would not go unnoticed, even sans body panels, but in the presence of so many clean Hondas it was almost like nobody even knew it was there. Mike, and his car had a rough year in FD but I hope he’s able to make it to Irwindale.

I still want an FL5 really badly. Black on Bronze looks so good on this car. I feel like the Fl5 is the ultimate fun daily/weekend track/do it all kind of car.

This was 100% how I would build an EK if I were to get another one. Champ white, bronze TEs, K swap. 10/10.

I’m pretty sure this is only the second time I’ve ever seen a Beagle up close. It’s so weird and I love it.

This is a really interesting color combination. At first I have to admit that I wasn’t feeling it. But the more I looked at it, the more it grew on me. Helps that this build is the full package. Nice exterior, really well executed engine setup, and a cool interior details. Kanjo!

Overall it was a nice morning. Nice cool weather, a lot of cool cars, and everyone seemed chill and friendly. That’s a win. Full gallery below as usual.
