Final Bout X Vtec Club Grip Battle

In the spectrum of automotive culture, drifting and time attack are the peak of my interests and when I heard that Final Bout and Vtec Club were collaborating on a grip battle at Willow Springs I knew attendance was mandatory. The event took place Friday December 16th but I found myself getting booked on a commercial photo shoot in New Jersey. I was able to condense my schedule enough to take a Thursday flight home to Orange County and made the drive to Willow Springs early Friday morning.

A month after moving from Denver to LA my DC5 got stolen. That was 8 years ago and I’m still salty.

The competition format would put two drivers head to head in a lead/follow run and then switch.

It was no surprise that the Vtec Club drivers were posting faster times than most of the drifters but @whorechatawhore held it down for the sideways crowd and placed 4th.

@type_r_jose was blazing around Streets of Willow and ultimately took home the hardware for 1st place. Enjoy the rest of the gallery below. Until next time!
